SHREVEPORT, LA--With its theme "Change," Alumni Weekend 1997 will begin with the Founders' Day Convocation, observing the College's 172nd year, on Thursday, March 13. Organizing Chair is Katherine Turner Cheesman '47, who is spearheading a committee to promote and strengthen the weekend.
On Friday evening, March 14, the initiation of the "Quinq Club" (that is "fifty" in Latin) will highlight a mixture of nostalgia, fun and happy remembering by faculty and fellow classmates--perhaps with a dash of Kollege Kapers for good measure.
Saturday morning will bring a colorful palate of symposiums--something for everyone on topics every alum can appreciate and enjoy. On Saturday afternoon Jimmy Turner will direct a tour of Shreveport for returning alumni and home folks too. Saturday evening is set aside for class reunions.
