Centenary Open House for Prospective Students

SHREVEPORT, LA -- An open house for prospective students and their families will be Saturday, Nov. 23 at Centenary College.

The event will begin with registration in the Meadows Museum from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m., followed by a welcome from the administration, faculty and students until 10 a.m. in the Hargrove Amphitheater. Two discussion periods will follow, with participants selecting a topic of choice. Discussion I will offer sessions on the humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, visual and performing arts, and financial aid. Discussion II will feature sessions on athletics, education, pre-law, pre-health, the School of Business, and financial aid.

A luncheon for those who have pre-registered will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. A student panel, at Marjorie Lyons Playhouse, and a parent panel, in Hurley Auditorium, are on the agenda between 1:30 and 2 p.m. Campus tours begin at 2 p.m.

Also occurring on campus Saturday will be the season's opening basketball game. The Centenary Gents will play Lamar University at 1:05 p.m. in the Gold Dome.

The open house is being coordinated by the Office of Admissions and Enrollment Management.
