SHREVEPORT, LA -- A memorial service for former Shreveporter Mrs. Bryant "Tip" Davidson, who died Sept. 4 in Pittsfield, Ill., will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 18) at Centenary College.

Mrs. Davidson was a well-known area environmentalist, a former physical education professor at Centenary and staff member of the YWCA of Northwest Louisiana. She was the widow of former Centenary College Professor Bryant Davidson.

Taking part in the service will be Dr. Kenneth L. Schwab, Centenary president; Dr. Robert Ed Taylor, professor emeritus of religion; Dr. Lee Morgan, professor of English; and Katherine Cheesman, Centenary trustee.

Special music will be by Professors Gale Odom and Ronald Dean.

The service will be held in the Brown Memorial Chapel near the intersection of Kings Highway and Woodlawn Street.
