Centenary Alumna to Speak April 7 on Constructing a Concrete Canoe

SHREVEPORT, LA -- "Constructing a Concrete Canoe" will be the topic on Monday, April 7 when Centenary alumna Carol Johnson speaks at an 11:30 a.m. Science Division Colloquium at Centenary College.

Ms. Johnson, who is currently working toward her Ph.D in civil engineering at Louisiana State University, will talk about the construction of a concrete canoe, which she supervised at LSU. The canoe was later entered in a national competition of engineering schools.

The presentation, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Centenary Room, located in the North Dining Hall of Bynum Commons.
