SHREVEPORT, LA -- The final drive-through book donation day will be Friday, Aug. 1 for the upcoming Friends of Centenary Book Bazaar.
Volunteers will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. under the tent located near the Meadows Museum, 2911 Centenary Boulevard. Donors can drive up to the tent and the volunteers will unload their books.
The Friends of Centenary are seeking donations of old and new hardback and paperback books, records, CDs and tapes to be offered for sale at the 11th annual Book Bazaar Sept. 12-13 in the Centenary Gold Dome.
For large donations, please call the Office of Special Gifts at 869-5103 for pick-up arrangements. If it rains on Aug. 1 -- or for donations any time -- donors can use the waterproof bins at 145 Wilkinson St., Book Bazaar headquarters, adjacent to the Centenary campus.
The annual Book Bazaar, which draws thousands to the Gold Dome, will offer some 35,000 books for sale at bargain prices.
