SHREVEPORT,LA -- Chemistry Professor Tom Ticich and junior chemistry major Brock Stephens of Centenary College conducted combustion research this summer at the NASA-Lewis Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
They worked in the laboratory of Dr. Randy Vander Wal, a member of the Microgravity Combustion Branch at NASA and some of their results were presented at the prestigious Gordon Research Conference on combustion held in New Hampshire in July.
In addition to conducting research, Stephens and Ticich toured the microgravity facilities, attended seminars, and visited with a number of scientists in the Microgravity Combustion Branch, many of whom had experiments on the Space Shuttle mission of July.
