SHREVEPORT, LA -- The Prevailing Winds will present a free public concert at Centenary College at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5 in the Hargrove Memorial Amphitheater in the center of the Centenary campus.
Selections from the performance will include highlights from Camelot, Oklahoma, The Sinfonians, Prologue, Amazing Grace, Vilabella, Hands Across the Sea, Battle Hymn, and The Phantom of the Opera
Based in Bossier City, The Prevailing Winds is a community concert band conducted by Dr. Thomas Stone, director of bands at Centenary College. The ensemble performs through the year and is composed of both professional and non-professional musicians. The Prevailing Winds group is sponsored by the Bossier Arts Council and by private and corporate donations.
