Pianist Melanie Foster Taylor's Faculty Recital
To Include 'Story of Babar' with Narration

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Pianist Melanie Foster Taylor will present a faculty recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2 at Centenary College.

She will present Poulenc's The Story of Babar the Elephant, with narration by Dr. Horace English. She will also perform works by Bach, Debussy and Schumann.

The recital will take place in the Hurley Music Building on the east side of the Centenary campus. It is free and open to the public.

Dr. Taylor, an assistant professor of music at Centenary, holds a Mus.B. degree from Oberlin Conservatory, M.A. degree from Marshall University and D.M. degree from Indiana University.
