Climbing, Rappelling Demonstration Set for 10 a.m. to noon
Saturday, Nov. 1 at Centenary's Peavy Memorial Climbing Tower

SHREVEPORT, LA -- The new Outdoor Adventure Society at Centenary College will present a climbing and rappelling demonstration Saturday, Nov. 1 at Centenary. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Patrick W. Peavy Jr. Memorial Climbing Tower, which is located between Mickle Hall and the Haynes Gymnasium.

The program, free and open to the public, is under the direction of Mike Thomas, Climbing Tower coordinator.

Membership in the Outdoor Adventure Society is open to the public for a fee of $20 per semester, which includes climbing on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. until dark. In addition, the society will be sponsoring backpacking, climbing and rafting trips.
