SHREVEPORT, LA -- Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Barbara Bailey Hutchison will bring her spirited, emotion-packed music to Centenary College on Nov. 11. The event will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hurley Auditorium.

Millions of television viewers and radio listeners know Hutchison as the voice of McDonald's, Heinz, Hallmark Cards and United Airlines.

Hutchison has captivated audiences worldwide with her sincere music and powerful voice. She has been voted "Best Solo Performer" and "Best Acoustic Performer" by college and university groups in the United States and Canada.

Hutchison describes her music as a "hybrid." She draws from the many facets of her musical roots--folk, classical, and jazz--to come up with her "neo-folk-pop-alternative" style. Her songs move from one emotion to the next, giving the audience "something to think about, something to laugh about, and reason to believe in themselves," according to publicist Deborah Boshes.

The event is free and open to the public as a service of the Office of Student Activities.
