SHREVEPORT, LA -- The traveling exhibit of the East Texas Fine Arts Association's Citation Show is on display at Centenary's Magale Library Gallery throughout the month of October.
The exhibit contains award-winning paintings from the East Texas Fine Arts Association's 1997 Citation Show.
Jerry W. Seagle, who served as juror this year, said "The pieces that won awards were chosen because they were the strongest personal statements." Seagle has a BFA in painting from the University of Texas at Austin and has done graduate work at the University of the Americas in Mexico City.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. It features a wide range of subjects and media and many are offered for sale.
The Magale Gallery is located in the Magale Library on the east side of the Centenary campus on Woodlawn Street. Fall hours are: Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. until midnight; Friday, 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Sunday,2 p.m. until midnight.
