Ecologist to Speak on Chernobyl Meltdown
Oct. 29 and 30 at Centenary College
SHREVEPORT, LA -- Dr. Ron Chesser of the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory will speak at Centenary College Oct. 29 and 30. His topic will be the Chernobyl meltdown.
Dr. Chesser will present "Hard Science: The Search for Biological End-Points at Chernobyl" at the Science Colloquium Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. in Mickle Hall Room 114. On Thursday, Oct. 30, he will talk on "Chernobyl: Legacy of a Meltdown," at the 11:10 a.m. convocation in Kilpatrick Auditorium.
Both events are free and open to the public as a service of the Centenary Science Division and the Convocations Committee.
Dr. Chesser and his work have been featured in publications such as Newsweek, Time and U.S. News and World Report.
