SHREVEPORT, LA -- The Centenary College Maroon Jackets are sponsoring a Shreveport Green project for Make-A-Difference Day on Saturday, Oct. 18. The honor group is encouraging organizations, students, faculty members and staff members to participate in the event.
All volunteers will meet behind the Symphony House on Woodlawn Street at 9 a.m. Oct. 18 to receive trash bags.
The group's goal is to clean up around the Centenary campus and along Kings Highway from Youree Drive to Line Avenue.
Participants will conclude the project at noon, when they will meet behind the Symphony House to deliver the trash bags and have refreshments.
