SHREVEPORT, LA -- Michael Gulezian, regarded by some as one of the finest solo artists of our time, will perform at Centenary Oct. 8. The concert will be held from 7:30 - 9 p.m. in Centenary's Hargrove Memorial Amphitheater. It is free and open to the public.

Gulezian, who has been performing since 1978, released two CDS, Snow and Unspoken Intentions, during the 1980s. After the success of these releases, Gulezian returned to school. He graduated from the University of Arizona with degrees in entrepreneurship and marketing.

In 1990, he started his own independent label, Timbreline Music. He released his third CD, Distant Memories And Dreams, in 1992. Distant Memories and Dreams was later named runner-up for "Disc of the Year." In 1995, Gulezian released The Dare of An Angel and it, too, has been critically acclaimed.

In the case of rain, the performance will be held in the Hurley Auditorium on the Centenary College campus. The event is sponsored by the Centenary Office of Student Activities.
