Psi Chi Honor Society at Centenary College Inducts Eight New Members

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Eight students at Centenary College of Louisiana have been inducted into the Centenary chapter of Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology.

Membership is awarded to graduates and undergraduates who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests and who meet the qualifications.

New members from Centenary are Amy Lynn Brown of Denham Springs, La.; Mikisha Lei Hooper of Durant, Okla.; Stephanie Kestel of Lake Charles, La.; Mary E. McMillan of West Columbia, Texas; Jacquetta Sh'Rell Ray of Shreveport, La.; Angela Dara Rowe of Mooringsport; Erin Michelle Sansalone of Slidell, La.; and Anastasia Taylor of Shreveport, La.

Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Society. Psi Chi has grown over the past 65 years into one of the largest and most successful honor societies in the world with over 840 chapters located at college and university campuses throughout the United States.

Centenary College, founded in 1825, is the nation's oldest private college west of the Mississippi. A selective liberal arts college, it is regularly listed in national rankings of "Best Colleges" and "Best College Values." It is located in Shreveport, La.
