SHREVEPORT, LA -- Centenary defeated Northwestern State 73-70 for its second straight victory and improved its record to 3-2 this season.
Sophomore Ronnie McCollum (Fayette, AL) led all scorers with 26 points as the Gents improved to a 3-0 against Southland Conference schools on the year.
Senior Cornell Hardman(Owasso, OK) added 17 points and eight rebounds and freshman Ed Dotson(Detroit, MI) contributed 15 points and nine boards.
Centenary won the game at the foul line where the Gents were 31-for-40, led by Dotson's 11-for-14 effort. Northwestern State (1-5) was 11-for-18 from the charity stripe.
The Demons' Allan Polk had a team-high 16 points.
