31 Centenary College Students Honored in 1999 Edition of
Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Thirty-one students from Centenary College of Louisiana have been selected as national outstanding leaders and named in the 1999 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory have included the names of these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.

They join an elite group of students selected from more than 1,900 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign nations. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.

Centenary College, a private liberal arts and sciences institution, was founded in 1825 and is the nation's oldest college west of the Mississippi. It is regularly listed among the nation's "best" and "best value" institutions in national publications. Recently, Centenary was listed as the No. 1 Best Value among the South's regional institutions by U.S. News and World Report.
