Centenary Film Society and Quail Creek Cinema Team Up for Spring Season

SHREVEPORT, LA -- The Centenary Film Society and Quail Creek Cinema have joined together in their efforts to bring quality foreign cinema to the Shreveport-Bossier community.

During the Spring 1998 season, all films presented by the society will be shown at Quail Creek Cinema, 808 Shreveport-Barksdale Highway.

Films remaining for this season and the dates that they will be shown are:

  • Irma Vep, March 5
  • The Diary of a Seducer, March 12
  • Nelly and Monsieur Arnaud, March 19
  • Guelwaar, March 26
  • Rendez-Vous in Paris, April 2
  • La Promesse, April 9

    The films for this spring's program are possible through the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the Cultural Ministry of France.

    All films will be 35 millimeter prints in their original languages with English subtitles. Presentations will be on Thursdays at 7:15 p.m. The films are open to the public and free to Centenary students, faculty and staff. A season?s pass (good for all seven films) for other Centenary Film Society patrons is $20 and can be purchased at Quail Creek Cinema before each show or by contacting Patty Roberts at the Department of English at Centenary (318-869-5254). Walk-in admission will be the same as other films at Quail Creek.
