No Holiday for Book Bazaar Volunteers: Drive-through Book Donations Day is Friday, July 3 For Friends of Centenary Book Bazaar

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Although it is a college holiday, volunteers will be on hand Friday, July 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. under the maroon-and-white tent near the Meadows Museum, 2911 Centenary Boulevard, to collect items for the upcoming Friends of Centenary Book Bazaar.

Donors of books of all types, audio and video tapes, records and CDs can drive up to the tent and the volunteers will unload them.

If it rains, or for donations any time, donors can use the waterproof bins at 145 Wilkinson St., Book Bazaar headquarters. For large donations, call the Office of Special Gifts at 869-5103, for pick-up arrangements.

The 12th anniversary Friends of Centenary Book Bazaar will be held Sept. 11-12 in the Centenary Gold Dome. A related music sale will be held on Sept. 12 across the street from the Gold Dome in Centenary Square. Both events are benefits for Centenary students.
