Harvard Graduate Turned Comedian to Perform at Centenary College March 19

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Professional stand-up comedian Greg Giraldo will perform at Centenary College on Thursday, March 19 at 7 p.m. in the Hargrove Memorial Amphitheater.

Giraldo, who has appeared on television shows such as Caroline's Comedy Hour and Star Search, majored in English at Columbia University and then went on to graduate from Harvard Law School.

Upon graduation, he was recruited by a top Manhattan corporate law firm. However, he soon found the practice of law "way less cool than Perry Mason" and tried his hand at an Open-Mic night in 1992. The next day he resigned from the law firm and became a stand-up comedian.

The performance is being sponsored by the Centenary College Student Activities Board. If it rains, the program will be held in Kilpatrick Auditorium. For more information, call 318-869-5736.
