Centenary Softball Announces 1999 Schedule

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Centenary softball head coach Michael Bastian announced the Ladies' 1999 schedule, Wednesday.

Among the Ladies' opponents are 1998 Southeastern Conference tournament champion Alabama and SEC tournament runner-up Mississippi State. The Crimson Tide will be in Shreveport for a doubleheader March 30, and the Bulldogs will play a single game in Shreveport, Feb. 7.

Centenary's schedule also includes a doubleheader at 1998 College World Series participant Texas on April 21 and a doubleheader at Northwestern State, a NCAA regional participant last season, on Feb. 25.

The Ladies will also participate in the prestigious Frost Cutlery Tournament hosted by Tennessee-Chattanooga, as well as tournaments at the University of Florida, Northeast Lousisiana and University of Arkansas.
