SHREVEPORT, LA -- The Centenary men's basketball team will begin preperation for the 1998-99 season with its first practice at 9 a.m. this Saturday (Oct. 17). The Gents, under second-year coach Billy Kennedy, will also practice at 4 p.m.
Centenary is led by the returning backcourt of senior Tim Law (York, AL) and sophomore Ronnie McCollum (Fayette, AL).
McCollum, who set a school and Trans America Athletic Conference record with 101 three-pointers last season is The Sporting News TAAC preseason Player-of-the-Year.
