"Extraordinist" Craig Karges to Perform at Centenary Oct. 31

Craig Karges

SHREVEPORT, LA--"The most extraordinary phenomenon is the power of the human mind," claims "extraordinist" Craig Karges.

Karges will bring extraordinary phenomena, the unexplained mysteries between science and the supernatural, to Centenary College on Oct. 31, at 8 p.m. in the Hurley Auditorium. The program is free and open to the public as a service of the Centenary Student Activities Board.

Karges's performances have been called a hybrid between psychology, showmanship and natural intuitive abilities. He has been known to reveal the unspoken thoughts of his audience, make predictions that were later verified, move objects seemingly with the powers of his mind, and even risk his performance fee in a daring mind-control trick.

Touring more than 200 days per year, Karges has appeared at over 500 colleges and various corporate events, theatre clubs, fairs, festivals and performing arts centers. He has also appeared on such television shows as The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and Larry King Live.

Karges became interested in extraordinary phenomenon (EP) after a great-uncle, a Vaudeville stage-medium-turned-spiritualist, left Karges his collection of manuscripts, journals, and books dealing with magic, mentalism, spiritualism and parapsychology.

"We use only 10 to 20 percent of our minds," Karges claims. "I want to help people appreciate the fact that they need to utilize more of their own computer power, more of their mind power."

For more information about the event, contact Chris Giroir, assistant director of student activities, at 318-869-5736.
