SHREVEPORT, LA -- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has recognized the Centenary softball team for academic excellence during the 1997-98 school year.
The Ladies had six players post grade-point averages of 3.4 or better and the team's 3.2428 cumulative GPA was ninth best in the country.
The performance comes a year after Centenary was ranked fourth by the NFCA with a team GPA of 3.278.
