Wideman Piano Competition Winner Vadim Ghin to Perform at Centenary Nov. 15 in Friends of Music Series

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Nena Plant Wideman competition winner Vadim Ghin will perform for the Centenary Friends of Music series Sunday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hurley Recital Hall on the Centenary College campus.

Ghin was educated from age 5 at the Moscow School of Music and at the Juilliard School for the Performing Arts in New York. He obtained Juilliard's diploma from the Pre-College Division under Professor Richard Fabre and its Bachelor and Master of Music degrees under Professor Josef Raieff.

In addition to performing extensively in New York at Lincoln Center and at the United Nations Dag Hammarskjold Auditorium, Ghin has signed a multi-record contract with Forte Records, is involved in literary publication, journalism and editorship, and has participated in several teaching assistantships and fellowships at Juilliard.

Ghin has been a member of the Music and Performing Arts Professions faculty of New York University from 1995-98. He is a resident of Staten Island, N.Y.
