SHREVEPORT, LA--The Centenary volleyball team opened its Trans America Athletic Conference season by splitting a pair of matches, Monday.

The Ladies defeated Mercer (2-15, 0-3 in TAAC) 15-13, 15-7, 15-12 behind a match-high 17 kills from senior Kim Bolin (Colleyville, TX) who returned from an ankle injury that forced her to sit out the previous four matches.

Junior Robin Hill (Houston, TX), added 14 kills and a .433 hitting percentage for Centenary which snapped a 15-match conference losing streak that dated back three years to the day.
