Gents Baseball Signs a Dozen Players, Five Others Commit

SHREVEPORT--Kyle Allen of Austin, Texas heads the list of baseball players who will play for Centenary next season.

Allen was primarily an outfielder and a two-year letterman for McNeil High School, where he batted .371 with a school-record of 19 stolen bases and earned all-district honors his senior season.

Others who signed with the Gents include Trey Crawford (Dallas, TX), Aaron Garcia of (Longmont, CO), Aaron Healy (Napa, CA), Ralph Hicks (Benicia, CA), Adam Hull (Longview, TX), Aaron Jackson (Austin, TX), Nick Martin (Littleton, CO), Chad Shindle (Frisco, TX), Ben Taylor (White Rock, British Columbia), Eric Tisdale (Union City, CA) and Casey Tyler (Benicia, CA).

In addition, five players have committed to attend Centenary for the upcoming season.

Among these are Devin Galimore (Plano, TX), Bryan Scanlon (Little Rock, AR) and Blake Roberson (Benton, AR).

Galimore, a four-sport athlete for Canyon Creek Christian Academy, was a first team all-state selection on the diamond in both his junior and senior seasons.

Scanlon batted over .400 during his junior and senior seasons and was a two-time all-state selection at Little Rock Catholic High School.

Roberson was a three-year letterman at Benton High School, where he batted .386 in his senior year.

Also committing to Centenary were Will McGuffie (New Braunfels, TX) and Scott Tolar (Haughton, LA).
