Ouachita Trio to Perform April 29 in Centenary's Hurley Auditorium

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Music by Beethoven, Debussy, and Bernstein will be among the selections played by the Ouachita Trio when it performs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29 in Centenary College's Hurley Auditorium. The program is free and open to the public.

The Trio is one of several faculty chamber ensembles based in the School of Music at Northeast Louisiana University.

Performing in the trio will be Mark McCleery, an active soloist, chamber artist and orchestral cellist throughout the Mid-South; William Nichols, principal clarinetist of the South Arkansas symphony and frequent performer with the Shreveport Symphony, and Richard Seiler, pianist and chair of the NLU keyboard division.

They will present Beethoven's Trio in B-Flat Major, Op. 11, Bruch's Two Pieces, Op. 83, Bernstein's Sonata for Clarinet and Piano (1942), Debussy's Sonata for Cello and Piano (1915) and Muczynski's Fantasy Trio (1969).
