Centenary Athletes Sponsor Day on Campus for LightHouse Students and 1 p.m. Public Lecture by Ron Anderson in Observance of MLK Day

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Centenary College athletes will host a public address by LightHouse Director Ron Anderson and a visit by 20-25 students from the LightHouse in observance of Martin Luther King Day on Monday, Jan 18.

Anderson will speak on "The Drum Major for Justice: A Life's Work of Sacrifice" at 1 p.m. in the Centenary Gold Dome. The program is free and open to the public.

Before and after the lecture, Centenary athletes will introduce the LightHouse students to the Centenary campus, classes, dining hall, and athletic activities. The LightHouse students will arrive at the Gold Dome at 8:30 a.m. to meet their hosts and pair up with specific athletes.

Between 9 a.m. and 11:50 a.m., the guests and their hosts will attend classes and tour the campus before having lunch at noon in the Centenary Dining Hall.

In the afternoon, the group will attend Anderson's lecture at 1 p.m. and then participate in athletic demonstrations and games in the Gold Dome before boarding the bus for the LightHouse at 4 p.m.
