SHREVEPORT, LA --Julia Biehle, a Centenary College junior from Vidor, Texas, will present her junior clarinet recital Thursday, March 4 at 3:30 p.m. in Centenary's Hurley Auditorium.
Ms. Biehle will perform:
Gay Grosz, accompanist and instructor of music, will assist on piano, and Angela Russell, a sophomore violin performance major, will assist on violin.
Biehle, a clarinet performance major, has studied clarinet for about 10 years and piano for about 14 years. Tom Phillips, principal clarinetist with the Shreveport Symphony, is her current mentor. Former teachers include Dr. Melanie Foster Taylor, currently a professor of piano at Converse University, and Dr. Kim Ellis, professor of clarinet at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
Biehle is the daughter of Cheryl and Steven Biehle of Vidor.
