Dr. W. Stephen Gunter
SHREVEPORT, LA --The Wesleyan tradition in relation to historical developments in evangelism will be the topic of a public lecture March 11 at Centenary College.
Dr. W. Stephen Gunter of Emory University will speak at 6 p.m. that day in Kilpatrick Auditorium in the R. E. Smith Building. His topic will be "Charity Begins at Home: The Theology of Suzanna Wesley."
Dr. Gunter is the Arthur J. Moore Associate Professor of Evangelism from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. He focuses on evangelism in the Wesleyan tradition in his numerous articles and books, including Wesley and the Quadrilateral: Renewing the Conversation (1997) and The Symphony of Grace: Evangelism in the Wesleyan Spirit (1999).
The lecture will be followed by a public reception and Dr. Gunters recent books will be available for purchase.
