Maximizing Tax Reduction in Estate Planning is Topic for October 6 Seminar at Centenary College

SHREVEPORT, LA -- "Techniques to Maximize Tax Reduction in Estate Planning" is the topic Wednesday, Oct. 6 when the Centenary College Planned Giving Council presents the fourth of a series of workshops on financial planning issues.

The workshop presenter will be Jerome J. Reso Jr. of New Orleans, one of Louisiana's leading tax attorneys. A partner in the New Orleans law firm of Baldwin & Haspel, he is a board-certified tax attorney and board-certified estate planning and administration specialist.

Reso has been a speaker at a number of tax institutes, including the Tulane Tax Institute, the Louisiana Tax Conference, the Mississippi Tax Conference, the Great Plains Federal Tax Institute, Southern Methodist University Symposia on Federal Taxation and Estate Planning, and the LSU School of Law.

He has written a number of publications on estate planning and has taught at the Loyola University School of Law since 1987.

The workshop will be held in the South Dining Hall of Bynum Commons from 10 a.m. until noon. It will be followed by a light lunch and a question-and-answer period. Coffee will be served from 9:30 to 10 a.m.. Cost of the workshop is $40. Continuing education credit is available for CPAs, and approval has been requested for credit from the Bar Association, Department of Insurance and the CFP Board of Standards.
