SHREVEPORT, LA -- The Centenary soccer team is hosting the first annual Stacy S. Jones, D.D.S. / Centenary Soccer Invitational in order to raise funds to help defray the cost of running the team.
The event is open to the public and will take place on Monday, April 24, at Olde Oaks Golf Club, a Hal Sutton-designed course. It is a four-man scramble event.
Festivities will start at 11:30 a.m. with registration and a barbecue lunch, followed by the start of the tournament at 1 p.m.
There is a $100 per person or $400 per team entry fee, which will cover green fees, cart, lunch, beverages, golf towels, and a sun visor. There will be prizes awarded for the top three places in both low net and low gross as well as for a hole-in-one, the longest drive, and the closest to the hold contest.
