SOFTBALL: LADIES DROP DOUBLEHEADER TO SLU

SHREVEPORT, LA -- The Centenary Ladies (7-39) failed to score a run on Thursday, dropping both games of their doubleheader to Southeastern Louisiana (15-22) 4-0 and 1-0. In a rare occurrence, all four starting pitchers on the day notched complete games.

SLU took game one behind a great pitching effort from Susan Hill. Hiss struck out six and allowed only two hits on her way to a shutout. The Lady Lions offense was led by Heather Heimbach who had three hits in the game.

Game two featured great pitching by both clubs. Cathy McCarthy surrendered only three hits and one run for Centenary while taking the loss. SLU pitcher, Monique Rousell, came up with the shutout victory for the Lady Lions despite allowing seven hits in the contest.

Freshmen Lauren Jackson added two hits to lead the Ladies at the plate in game two, while catcher Brooke Kostic added the only RBI of the game on a bases loaded walk for Southeastern Louisiana.
