Centenary College Choir,
Fresh from 4th White House Performance, to Present Jan. 3 Concert at Chamblee
First UMC
SHREVEPORT, LA -- The
renowned Centenary Choir from Centenary College of Louisiana will present
a public concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3 at the Chamblee First United
Methodist Church, 4147 Chamblee-Dunwoody Road, Chamblee, Ga.
The 60-member choir's
appearance is sponsored by the church ant the Atlanta, Ga., Centenary College
Alumni Chapter. The program is free and open to the public.
The Centenary Choir
is an auditioned ensemble, selected each year in late February before the
new members graduate from high school. An internationally recognized
group, the Choir sings annually throughout the United States. Every
other year, it also makes international tours. In the past 59 years,
The Choir has visited more than 30 countries on four continents, singing
for front-line troops in Korea, many European and Asian heads of state,
NATP and American armed forces, 10 conventions of Lions International and
two lengthy engagements at New York's Radio City Music Hall.
For the past four years,
the Centenary Choir has performed during special Christmas receptions at
The White House. Dr. Will K. Andress directs the Choir. For
