Centenary Alumni Association
Sponsors Alaskan Cruise in July 2001
SHREVEPORT, LA -- Views
of gleaming glaciers and glimpses of seals, sea otters and humpback whales
are among the attractions the Centenary Alumni Association is offering
with its upcoming Alaskan cruise.
The seven-night,
eight-day cruise aboard the Sun Princess ship begins July 23 in Vancouver,
Canada. The "Gulf of Alaska: Voyage of the Glaciers" trip includes
stops at Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway, and cruising through Glacier Bay
and CollegeFjord before arriving at Seward/Anchorage.
An optional five-day
tour that extends to the Alaskan wilderness and Mt. McKinley is also available.
That tour begins in Seward/Anchorage and ends in Fairbanks on Aug. 4.
A range of fares is
available for both cruises. The alumni rates range from $1,199 to
$2,229 per person, double occupancy for the seven-night cruise and $2,629
to $3,829 for the 13-day package. Airfare is additional, with special
rates available from several gateway cities.
Cruise fares for third
and fourth passengers range from $299 per person for inside staterooms,
to $499 for outside, $599 for outside balcony and $699 for suites and mini-suites.
Optional tours are also available at the various ports.
The tour is open to
all alumni and friends of the college and their immediate families and
friends. Reservations can be made by contacting David Henington,
Centenary director of alumni relations, at 1-800-259-6447 or 318-869-5151
or Alumni Travel Group at 1-800-654-4934. A $350 deposit is due with
registration.
