GENTS TRAVEL TO NASHVILLE TO FACE BELMONT

SHREVEPORT, LA -- The Centenary Gents face another road trip this weekend when they travel to Nashville to play Belmont University in a game set to tip off on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Striplin Gymnasium.

The Gents (9-16) are looking to end the season on a winning strek, having survived their game with Arkansas-Little Rock on Tuesday, 66-64. Junior guard Ronnie McCollum and sophomore forward Ed Dotson were the top scorers for the Gents. McCollum finished with 27 points while Dotson scored 21, the second game in a row that the two top scorers for the Gents notched 20 points or more in the same game.

Belmont (6-20) enters the game on a six-game losing streak, and as the team that is tied for first in three-pointers made per game in the nation with 9.9 made.

The Bruins are led by two players in double figures: Wes Burtner (13.9) and B.J. Proffitt (10.5).

The Gents have the third-leading scorer in the nation in McCollum, who averages 24.5 points per game. Dotson is the only other double-digit scorer for the Gents at 13.5.
