LADIES FALL TO MCNEESE IN TENNIS

SHREVEPORT, LA -- The Centenary Ladies tennis players were swept, 9-0 by the McNeese State Cowgirls at Centenary on Monday morning.

The best match of the morning was the number two singles match between Centenary's Sarah Everett and McNeese's Yvonne Bresler. The first two sets were split as both went to tiebreakers. Bresler took the first tiebreak 7-2, while Everett evened the match in the second tiebreak at 7-4. The match went into a super tiebreaker, which Bresler won 10-6 to take the match.

The number one doubles match was also close, with the team of Everett and Mandy Yearwood of Centenary falling to Joanna Keene and Betina Crooks of McNeese 8-5.

With the loss, the Ladies fall to 3-15 on the season.
