Centenary Ladies Soccer and Volleyball Teams Garner Honors
 

Ladies Soccer

SHREVEPORT, LA -- The Centenary Ladies soccer team earned another honor as freshman Sarah Brown was named the independent rookie-of-the-week for her efforts last week.  

In Centenary's 2-1 win against Birmingham-Southern, Brown recorded her second assist of the season on the game's first goal.  She then scored the game-winning goal at the 52:00 mark.  The goal was her third of the season, giving her eight total points on the year.

Ladies Volleyball

Freshman Niki Dawson currently leads all independent schools in total aces with 28 on the season.  Her 40 block assists also places her in a tie for fifth among the independent leaders.  

The Ladies as a team lead all independents in block solos with 74 and blocks per game at 2.40.
