Centenary College Names 294 Students to Fall Semester 2000 Dean's List

SHREVEPORT, LA -- A total of 294 students at Centenary College of Louisiana have been named to the Fall Semester 2000 Dean's List, according to Dr. Earl W. Fleck, provost and dean of the college.

The honor list names students who have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in 12 or more semester hours taken for a letter grade.

Centenary College of Louisiana, founded in 1825, is the nation's oldest chartered liberal arts college west of the Mississippi River. It is regularly listed among the nation's "best colleges" and "best college values" and is currently listed as the No. 1 Best Value among Southern colleges and universities by U.S. News and World Report.  Centenary is a selective private college located in Shreveport, La.
