Next to Last Book Donation Day is Friday, June 8 for
SHREVEPORT, LA--The fourth of five drive-up book donation days for the Centenary College Book Bazaar will be held Friday, June 8 at the Centenary Book House at 145 Wilkinson St. Book donation will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers will be available to assist donors who drop off books, CDs, tapes and videos. The donated items will, in turn, be sold at the Sept. 14-15 benefit event. The Book Bazaar is sponsored each year by the Centenary Muses. Bazaar organizers are seeking old and new books in both hardback and paperback, except for magazines and condensed books, which are not solicited. The 15th annual Centenary College Book Bazaar will be held in the Gold Dome. The sale, which draws thousands of shoppers, is expected to offer more than 30,000 books at bargain prices. Co-chairs are Dian Tooke, director of service learning at Centenary, and Hazel Fleck, community volunteer. The final drive-up donation day is set for July 13 although books can
be left on the porch or in the waterproof bins at the Book House at any
time.
