Donate Books: Drive-up Book Donation Day is Friday, May 11 for Next September's Centenary College Book Bazaar

SHREVEPORT, LA--The third drive-up book donation day for the Centenary College Book Bazaar will be held Friday, May 11.

Volunteers will be on hand that day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 145 Wilkinson St., the blue house east of the tennis courts at the intersection of Wilkinson Street and Centenary Boulevard.  They will assist donors with their donations of books, CDs, tapes and videos that will, in turn, be sold at the Sept. 14-15 benefit event.

Organizers are seeking old and new books in both hardback and paperback, except for magazines and condensed books, which are not solicited.

Those wishing to donate books at times other than the monthly drive-up donation days can leave their books on the porch or in the waterproof bins at the "Book House" any time.

The 15th annual Centenary College Book Bazaar will be held in the Gold Dome.  The sale, which draws thousands of shoppers, is expected to offer more than 30,000 books at bargain prices. Co-chairs are Dian Tooke, director of service learning at Centenary, and Hazel Fleck, community volunteer.
