Centenary College's Pandora Magazine Named Among Nation's Top Literary Magazines

SHREVEPORT, LA -- The Associated Collegiate Press/College Media Advisors have recognized Centenary College's fine arts magazine, Pandora, as being among the top literary magazines in the nation.  Pandora's Fire Edition 2001 captured fifth place in the annual ACP/CMA competition and received the award during the group's recent national convention.

This past year's Pandora was the first edition to contain three separate media: the book, postcards displaying art pieces and a CD with acoustic student recordings. These three media were incorporated into one unit symbolizing both Pandora's Box and the magazine's fire theme that was depicted in the four areas of the layout (book, postcards, CD and box).

The editors for the edition were Bianca McKnight, editor-in-chief; Crystal Carter, literary editor; Joanna Tagert, art editor; Chris Jay, music editor, and Austin Meyers, layout editor.
