Drive-up Book Donation Day is Friday, July 12
For September's Centenary Book Bazaar 
 

SHREVEPORT, LA--The Centenary Muses will hold a drive-up book donation day for the Centenary College Book Bazaar on Friday, July 12, with volunteers on hand at this year's new collection location.

Signs along East Kings Highway will direct book donors to the drop-off tent nearby on Oak Street. Book Bazaar headquarters are now located at 108 East Kings, across the street from the former Brocato's Restaurant.  The "Book House" telephone number is 219-3409.

Volunteers will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 12 to assist donors with their contributions of books, CDs, audiotapes and videotapes that will be sold during the Sept. 13-14 Book Bazaar. The annual event, sponsored by the Centenary Muses, is a benefit for Centenary students. 

Organizers are seeking old and new books in both hardback and paperback, except for magazines and condensed books, which are not solicited.

Those wishing to donate books at times other than the monthly drive-up donation days, which include the final collection day on Aug. 9, can leave their books in the waterproof bins that are outside 108 East Kings.  Pick-up of large collections is available on request.

The 16th annual Centenary College Book Bazaar will be held in the Gold Dome.  The sale, which draws thousands of shoppers, is expected to offer more than 30,000 books at bargain prices.
