Percy Hubbard Joins
Centenary College Board of Trustees
SHREVEPORT, LA -- Percy Hubbard,
longtime Bossier City banker and civic leader, is the newest member of
the Board of Trustees at Centenary College of Louisiana. He is manager
of Hubbard Investments, LLC of Bossier City and former president and chairman
of the board of the Red River Valley Bank.
His election to the board was announced
by Centenary President Kenneth L. Schwab and Chairman William G. Anderson
following confirmation by the Louisiana Conference of the United Methodist
Church at its annual conference in June.
A native of Sikes, La., Hubbard grew
up in Bossier City. He was working in a bank by the time he was 21 and,
at the same time, was pursuing his education in Centenary's
evening program. He earned the bachelor of science degree in 1964 and graduated
cum laude.
A member and chairman of Centenary's
President's Advisory Council, Hubbard has also been active in a numerous
other civic and professional organizations. He is a former chairman of
the Committee of 100 and Bossier Public Trust and board member of Christus
Schumpert Health System, Volunteers of America, Louisiana State University
Health Sciences Center Foundation and the Greater Bossier Economic Development
Foundation. He is also president-elect of the Rotary Club of Bossier City.
