Songwriters' Showcase, a Free Public Concert, Set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28 in Centenary Band Shell
 
 

SHREVEPORT, LA -- A variety of original music -- from rock 'n roll to Latin to country -- will be on the program Tuesday, May 28 at Centenary College's Hargrove Memorial Amphitheatre.

The Songwriters' Showcase is an outdoor concert presented by the students in Dr. Ross Smith's May Module songwriting class.  The event is free and open to the public, with concertgoers invited to bring seat cushions, lawn chairs and their own refreshments or picnics.

The amphitheatre, also known as the Band Shell, is located in the center of the Centenary campus at 2911 Centenary Boulevard.  In case of rain, the concert will take place in Kilpatrick Auditorium located in the R.E. Smith Building.
