First Book Donation Day is Monday, April 14 for Next September's Centenary Book Bazaar

SHREVEPORT, LA--The first drive-up book donation day this year for the Centenary College Book Bazaar will be held Monday, April 14. Volunteers will be on hand at Book Bazaar headquarters in Suite 108 of the Centenary Square Building on East Kings Highway from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Volunteers will assist donors with their contributions of books, CDs, tapes and videos that will, in turn, be sold at the Sept. 12-13 Book Bazaar in the Centenary Gold Dome. The annual event is a benefit for Centenary students.

Organizers are seeking old and new books in both hardback and paperback, except for magazines and condensed books, which are not solicited.

The monthly donation days have been moved from Fridays to the second Monday of each month, so that additional parking will be available in front of the storefronts that are closed on Mondays. Future drive-up dates are May 12, June 9, July 14 and August 11. Those wishing to donate books at other times can leave their books in the waterproof bins that are outside the Book Bazaar office, organizers said.

The 17th annual Centenary College Book Bazaar is sponsored by the Centenary Muses. Each year the event offers some 30,000 books at bargain prices and draws thousands of shoppers from throughout the area.
