WHO: Centenary Department of Public Safety, Violence Against Women Informational Program and Office of Student Life

WHAT: "Up, Up and Away with Violence," a Community Balloon Release to Raise Awareness of the Problem of Violence Against Women

WHEN: Monday, April 14, 2003 at 12:30 p.m. (312 balloons on display from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)

WHERE: Centenary College circular drive in front of Bynum Commons and Anderson Choral Building

ETC.: Within a four-hour period in the U.S., 312 women (78 per hour) will be raped. In an effort to raise awareness about this issue, the Centenary DPS and its Violence Against Women Awareness Program will release 312 balloons.
