Before their lectures as Attaway Fellows, Michael and Edna Longley (center) pose with Centenary President Kenneth L. Schwab, Provost Darrel Colson, and English Professors David Havird and Steve Shelburne. Michael Longley, renowned Irish poet, was this year's recipient of the Centenary's Corrington Award for Literary Excellence. Michael and his wife, Edna Longley, literary and cultural critic, spent several days on campus as Attaway Fellows in Civic Culture.
