'The Bible as Literature—Part 2' Topic of Fall Literary Study Series beginning Oct. 29 at Centenary College

SHREVEPORT, LA—"The Bible as Literature--Part 2" will be the topic of a four-part lecture series to be presented by the Centenary College Muses in October and November by Dr. Donald A. Webb, president emeritus of Centenary.

Dr. Webb's last course, during the spring, focused on the book of Genesis. The fall series will concentrate on Job, Psalms and Isaiah from the perspectives of "The Creator and the Creatures," "The Leader and the Led," "Love Divine and Human" and "Eternal Deity, Mortal Flesh." The series will study literary form, not faith. It is not necessary to have attended the first part in order to participate in the second part, organizers said.

Lectures will be given twice each day on four consecutive Wednesdays beginning Oct. 29. Participants may attend either the 10 a.m. session or the 5:30 p.m. session each week. All classes will be held in Centenary's Kilpatrick Auditorium in the R.E. Smith Building at the corner of Kings Highway and Woodlawn Street.

Cost is $35 per person for the series, and checks to Centenary College can be mailed to Muses staff liaison Amy Giglio, Centenary Office of Development, P.O. Box 41188, Shreveport, La., 71134-1188.
